About Our Family

• Thomas and Cristy Slawson met at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi and were married on December 27, 2003.  
• Thomas was raised in Slidell, Louisiana and came to know the Lord at a young age. He studied at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi where he received both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in music theory and composition. He graduated in 2006 from RTS with a Master of Arts in Missions.  
• Cristy grew up in Graham, NC and also came to know the Lord at a very young age. She received her Bachelor of Arts in counseling from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from RTS.  
• Isaiah joined the ranks of the Slawson clan on February 6, 2006, several weeks ahead of when Thomas and Cristy thought he was going to join them. Already the Lord has used him as a ‘missionary.’ During his time in the Intensive Care Unit after his birth the witness of prayers around him and the Lord’s hand of healing upon him was seen by many.  Since our move to Russia, Isaiah has often been the first one to “break the ice”, so to speak, with the many Russians that we have met.
